Widowed and Bereaved Partners Ireland

Support, advocacy, and community for widowed and bereaved partners in Ireland

Who are Widowed and Bereaved Partners Ireland

We are a group of widowed and bereaved partners in Ireland that have come together to address the lack of supports in Ireland, raise awareness of the challenges widowed and bereaved partners face, and advocate for meaningful change.

The National Association of Widows (NAWI) was disbanded in October 2023, and there is currently no formal support group in place for those who are widowed or who have lost their partner in Ireland.

Our aim is to improve the circumstances our community has found itself in, advocate for those who are struggling to be heard, and raise awareness of the challenges widowed and bereaved partners face.
